Cock fight

So my friend Zach set me up this blogger account (as you can see from the very first one), however, I'm still trying to figure out the nuts and bolts of it all (hey, did I just say an expression?? My dad NEVER lets me say expressions because he says I get them wrong and obscene things get blurted out. I don't have the heart to tell him that I think it's just me that's obscene, but that's another story).

Kim and I went to downtown Portsmouth to look around. Let me tell ya, it's hard as HELL to get that girl to go there because, well, it's ghetto. The only difference is, she puts her earphones on and ignores everyone while I like to chatter with everyone under the sun...except the husband I accidentally picked up there a few days back. Anyway, the least amount that I am carrying on me, the better. It's bad enough I have my cell, wallet, and camera with me, the only thing left that I have that is somewhat expensive is my MP3 player and damnit, I need my music.

Long story short, it decided to rain like I have never seen it rain before...and I'm from fucking Seattle (like how I say that like that means anything?). Anyway, we were under a tree because I didn't want my camera to get wet, phone got wet (still usable but not sure for how long), and I ran across the street and literally jumped into someone's home (which is always a smart idea) and asked if my friend and I could stay there until the rain stopped. Usually the rain here comes down really fast, but then just stops and it gets all sunny out. Yeah, not that day. However, I was able to take some pictures of the festival (Saturday's a big day because down in Portsmouth everyone comes out to sell fish (that still are flopping in the boat...which I could have gone without seeing...and yes, I realized that I have worked in the meat/seafood department at home....but they were dead when I got to them! No flopping!). And I'm talking a big deal here on Saturdays. Massive music playing, crowded streets...this is all around 6am. Kim and I got there about 9am, so it cleared up (the people that is, not the rain, although it wasn't raining quite yet). Anyway, I'm posting pictures of the houses down there, the cock fight, the festival, and the home those guys let us stay in while the rain just poured. Oh, and later that night, check out the sunset! Beautiful.
(Zach, that's you I was on the phone with last night...fucked up, but still lookin' pretty) ;)
